Slow Food is all about the idea that eating well and doing good are two deeply compatible ideas and activities. So if you’re interested in engaging in a little of both by, say, sitting down to a four-course dinner, complete with wine pairings, and simultaneously contributing to a travel scholarship which will fund young Slow Foodies’ trips to Terra Madre, well, you’re in luck. An event being held on July 23rd by the NECI-Montpelier convivium in Montpelier, Vermont, will allow you to do just that. The net proceeds of the dinner, to be served at the Chef’s Table Event Center starting at 7pm, will benefit a travel scholarship for New England Culinary Institute’s Slow Food student-delegates to Terra Madre. The details, including a number to call for reservations, are below, and you can also check out the convivium’s website, necislowfood.wordpress.com, for more information on upcoming events in the area.
